# Vigilan Points (VP)

Vigilan Points, abbreviated **VP**, recognize eligible activity on Vigilan Market.

The [Points page](https://app.vigilan.market/points) describes trading, liquidity provision, position holding, and referrals. Its liquidity guidance emphasizes meaningful size, quotes near the market price, and participation on both sides. Position-related activity considers the size and duration of holdings.

#### Weekly rewards

The current page displays a weekly pool of **1,000,000 VP** and states that rewards are distributed **2–3 days after each week ends**. The leaderboard shows Last Week and All Time totals.

Consult the active program for the current pool, eligible actions, calculation period, and distribution status. The displayed pool is shared among eligible participants; it is not an amount awarded to every user.

#### Participation quality

The program monitors fake bids, spoof orders, and wash trading, which may lead to penalties. An order should reflect a willingness to trade at its quoted terms.

VP balances should not be treated as cash, investment returns, or a promise of a future token allocation. Any separate redemption or reward program requires its own announced terms. Consider trading costs and market risk independently of points.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.vigilan.market/platform/vigilan-points-vp.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
